Sage West Health Care releases 2020 report
CASPER, Wyoming (Wyoming News Now) – Sage West Health Care in Riverton and Lander has released a report on what they spent in 2020.
The report says they spent $ 931,076 on community benefit programs. They also give back to various community organizations like the Boys and Girls Club, Eagle’s Hope Transitions and more.
John Ferrelli, CEO of Sage West Health Care, said it was important for them to support the community. “We are fortunate to be making a profit and we think it is important to put that back into the community, so in addition to sales tax, payroll taxes, it makes sense that we continue to collaborate with the community,” Ferrelli said.
Being transparent with these numbers is important to them as they are a big employer in a small area. “The truth is, we’re proud of the things we’ve done over the past year and a half, especially when it comes to COVID-19 and its impact,” Ferrelli said.
Sage West feels it is achieving one of its goals by hiring more doctors to avoid transferring patients out of Fremont County. They paid 300 employees for more than $ 29 million in 2020.
Ferrelli said they were delighted to welcome new employees to their facilities.
