Refreshing Springs Church of God in Christ

On April 12, Refreshing Springs Church of God in Christ, 3112 Easy St., broadcast their first live FM radio show from the shrine on WTSX Power 104.9 FM.

Since the COVID-19 pandemic, the pastor and staff have sought to reach its members through radio. The church has partnered with WTSX since 2014. The name of their sponsored gospel show is “For Your Glory,” which airs Sundays from 7:30 am to 3 pm. the Kokomo region.

On April 19, the church broadened its vision to include car service and a live FM radio broadcast. Not only was it on WTSX FM in Kokomo, but the service was also broadcast simultaneously in Miami, Florida, on WTSX affiliate Dablaze FM 88 and also on WTSX 103.7 DaBeat affiliate, Rockford, Illinois.

Pastor Wendell Brown has invited several churches to participate in this program. He said: “During this trying and difficult time, our city needs our encouragement and our commitment. “

To bring the Spirit of the Lord to the community in any way, Refreshing Springs Church also provides live Facebook feeds and conference calls. Refreshing Springs will continue to have drive-in service for as long as weather permits.

The church encourages everyone to apply all security measures and obey all guidelines when it comes to COVID-19.

Morning Star Church

A new series of sermons called “Once Upon A Kingdom” will begin at 10:30 am at the church, 2900 E. Markland Ave. Services are in person or on Facebook.

The church will also host a prayer walk through Championship Park, starting at 9 a.m. Sunday. Participants must meet at The Connection before the start of the walk.

Christian fellowship of new beginnings

“It is time to prepare our lives: for Christ to cleanse his temple” will be the theme at 10 am Sunday at Church, 1900 S. Berkley Road. It is based on John 2: 13-25.

There will be an online worship service on the New Beginnings Christian Fellowship YouTube channel, Facebook page or website, www.nbcf.us.

First meeting of Kokomo’s friends

At 4 p.m. on March 13, First Friends Meeting of Kokomo will sell pints and pints of homemade chicken or beef and noodles, mashed potatoes and green beans as a fundraiser for Joy Circle. Chicken or beef and noodles will cost $ 4 a pint and $ 7 a pint. Sides will be $ 3 per pint and $ 5 per pint.

The church is located at 1801 W. Zartman Road in Kokomo.

The interior of the church will not be open and pre-orders will not be available. Orders will only be taken and picked up outside, at the wheel, on a first come, first served basis. Stay in your car and park at the main entrance to take your order.

Curtisville Christian Church

At 10:15 am Sunday, Minister James Snapp Jr. will deliver the “Promises to the Overcome” message from Revelation 2-3. The church will be open, with social distancing precautions in place and plenty of free masks and disinfectants. God willing, the sermon will also be online at www.curtisvillecc.com.
