Morning Star Church

Sunday’s sermon at 10:30 a.m. will be “Calming the Chaos,” an ongoing series that will address “some of today’s big issues,” such as abuse, addiction, anger, anxiety, depression, and suicide.

New Beginnings Christian Community

God’s Closet opened in Kokomo

God’s Neighborhood Closet at Main Street United Methodist Church, 830 S. Main St., Kokomo, is now open from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Tuesdays. Clothes and shoes are available for free, and bags of toiletries are available for $1.

In His Image Church, 2940 E. 50 North, Kokomo, will host a country breakfast from 7-10 a.m. today. The menu will include sausages, scrambled eggs, sausage gravy, cookies, orange juice and coffee. Freewill offers will be accepted and takeout will be available.

Bon Air Church of the Nazarene

Bon Air Church of the Nazarene and Kokomo Urban Outreach will be holding a church yard sale from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. today at the church, 2419 N. Locke St., Kokomo. The sale will include many household items, musical instruments, tools and other finds. For more information, call 765-438-0225.

South Side Christian Church

The South Side Christian Church will be selling pints and pints of chicken or beef and noodles from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on June 19. Chicken or beef and noodles will cost $4 a pint and $7 a pint, and potatoes or green beans will cost $2 a pint and $3 a litre.

First Evangelical Presbyterian Church

The First Evangelical Presbyterian Church, 2000 W. Jefferson St., Kokomo, will host a three-day spring sale.

The sale will take place from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Thursday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday and from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. on June 19.

On the last day of the sale, all items will be half price and a clothing giveaway will take place between 11 a.m. and noon. All proceeds will go to church missions.

First Kokomo Church of the Nazarene

KokomoNaz will present “Sounds of Freedom: Revive Us Again” from June 25-27.

Join the Celebration Choir and special guest artists as they honor God, thank veterans, and celebrate what is good for America at 7 p.m. each evening at the Church, 2734 S. Washington St. , Kokomo. Doors will open at 6 p.m.

Voluntary offerings will be accepted. The church will be accepting donations of size 2-4 diapers, baby wash and baby lotion for the local Living Alternatives pregnancy resource center.

First meeting of the friends of Kokomo
