Appomattox County family and friends desperately need help locating missing teenager
CONCORD, Va. (WDBJ) – A sign near a road in Appomattox County urges you to help.
It reads: Gone, Sage Blair, aka Draco.
The 14-year-old girl you see on the sign has been missing for almost a week and her family is lacking in hope.
“So please, please help someone,” said Grandma Michele Blair.
Michele Blair says her granddaughter is calm, but also a straight student with many hobbies.
She’s got no trouble and is incredibly smart.
But she says potential conversations with strangers online combined with a problem at school could have led to her demise.
“I said, and I’ll tell you, something is bothering you that you don’t want to tell me. I understand, but you don’t have to go back to Sage School. You don’t have to go, ”Blair said.
Family friend Lauren Talley is also fighting to find Sage.
She says her mother’s instinct has kicked in and fuels her passion to bring her back.
“It’s something that no one should ever have to experience. It is heartbreaking. You can’t breathe. You can’t sleep. You can’t eat, ”Talley said.
The sheriff’s office says he’s following all leads as he seeks to find her to safety.
As time passes, Michele clings to a message found in Sage’s room: Never Never Never Give Up.
“My baby, Sage, I love you and you know you can come home. Please come home, Sage, wherever you are, ”said Blair.
If you have any information about his whereabouts, you can call the Appomattox County Sheriff’s Office at 434-352-2666.
